Top created from the union of two different types of antique lace. The lace used to create the lower section is lighter and more transparent. A black velvet antique insert embroidered with gold thread forms a trait d'union between the two materials. It is applied using press studs, which enables the insert to be removed for cleaning, placed over a thin black velvet ribbon that surrounds the whole garment.
