A jersey tank top in 80% wool – 20% nylon forms the base of the garment, while a black cotton tulle drapes over the right shoulder, starting from the side.
The edges are finished with raw cut, and a flap of tulle descends the front, forming a point.
Applied to the edges of this material, facing the centre of the garment, are strips of black Victorian mechanical lace with black glass beads.
A cotton ribbon from the early 1900s is positioned every now and then to interrupt the garment’s “blackness". A Victorian-era applique with jet beads adorns the left shoulder.
