This babydoll top is dominated by an embroidered tulle flounce with a scalloped edge dating back to the Victorian/Edwardian era.

To conceal the lace’s transparency and to play down its importance and delicacy, the top is lined in 100% linen, rougher looking and finished with a raw cut. For the same reason, the shoulder straps and the closure at the back were created using raw cotton ribbons.

Equally important and antique is the black lace placed to finish and define the upper part of the top.
